Our second month of guests at the new resort has been quite exciting with the cold water upwelling starting to bring in some of the more seasonal pelagic fish. We had thermoclines on some of the southern sites reaching 14C (with surface water temperature still 27C), which caused the reef fish to school together looking for the warm pockets – which we were happy to share with them!

Juvenile Sharks Spotted Near the Jetty!

Our jetty has been up for 6 months and already it is attracting a variety of marine life including pipefish, moray eels, juvenile batfish and a huge school of bait fish. We have even had multiple sightings of juvenile black tip reef sharks! This is very exciting, as locals have informed us that it has been a few years since sharks were spotted in this part of the bay.
